Feeding America has published its 2015 Map the Meal Gap Study, an annual report that provides county-level estimates of food insecurity in the United States. The research shows that 15.5 % of Mainers, or 206,000 people, are food insecure, meaning that at times they lack access to adequate food for a healthy lifestyle.
