Deadlines for nominations:
- Friday, March 3, for the Governor's Service Awards. There are multiple categories of awards including for corporate volunteerism, outstanding non-profit volunteer program, volunteer of the year, and excellence in volunteer administration. Awards are presented during a ceremony at the Hall of Flags in Augusta.
- Monday, March 6, for the Young Maine Volunteer Roll of Honor. Volunteers aged 18 and younger who served at least 50 hours in 2016 can be named to the Honor Roll. Honorees receive a certificate, a Maine Volunteer Service medallion, and a ticket to a Red Claws game honoring youth volunteers.
- Monday, March 20, for the Maine Volunteer Role of Honor.Volunteers who have served more than 500 hours or more in the past year can be named to the Honor Roll. Honorees receive a certificate, recognition in the Bangor Daily News and VolunteerMaine.org, and a ticket to a Sea Dogs game honoring volunteers.
